Is There Any Contraceptive Pills Which Doesnot Cause Any Harmful Effects To The Baby Breastfeeding?
Hi, I had been using Loette contraceptive pills before my pregnancy and now that its been 7 months after delivery I would want to go for a contraceptive pills. Since Loette interferes with breastfeeding as I am feeding my 7 months old baby, I would like to know if there is any other contraceptive pills which doesn t cause any harmful effects to the baby.
Hello user, Loette is an oral contraceptive, commonly known as a "birth controlpill" or "the Pill". Loette tablets contain two hormones (levonorgestrel and ethinyloestradiol), which prevent you from becoming pregnant. As these hormonal pills contains estrogen, so it may cause some developmental problems in breast feeding baby.
The minipill is a good alternative for women who want to use oral contraceptives but who are breastfeeding or can't take estrogen for some other reason. Each pill contains a small amount of progestin, the synthetic form of the hormone progesterone. The pills come in packs of 28, and you take one pill every day so that you're getting a steady dose of the hormone, which prevents pregnancy.
Last but not least, the barrier methods can also be used. They are easy to use and have no hormonal side effects.
hope my info helped you regards, Dr Hari Om Chandrakar MBBS
