Is There Any Permanent Cure For Cervical Rib Problem ?
Hi Doctor , This is Karthikeyan from Chennai. For the past one year i was suffering from cervical rib problem on the right side of my neck. (Age : 27,Height : 170cm,Weight 75KG).. I am a software engineer by profession and i need to work for around 10 to 12 hours a day. On week ends i fell somewhat relax and on week days i feel severe pain on my neck. Is there any permanent cure(medicines) for this? or i need to under go any surgery? .I cant turn back with by neck and i cant sleep well bcoz of neck pain .I want to get out of this problem completely.Kindly give me a solution.

Hi,
The treatment will depend on seviarity of symtoms. Mild to moderate problems can be controlled by physiotherapy,change of posture, change in working condition.But if there is no relief ,surgery is needed.
you consult an orthopedic surgeon,he will guide you.
Medicines are to be taken only for excessive pain.-not on regular basis.
For time being you can try Tab.combiflam &tab neurobion one each twice a day for 5 days.

i suggest u to go for x-ray of cervical done to rule out cervical spondylitis.
consult physiotherapist so that they can guide u abt exercise which wil give u relief from regular pain.surgery is also one of the option if u dont want to rely on pain killers.
