Is There Any Problem For Getting Finger Infection With Diabetes?
my mother is a diabetic patient and she got her fingers in between door's hinge can she get an infection or is there any risk of cutting of fingers as in foot ulcers her wound is now fine and new nails have started growing what can we do to avoid risk?
Hi, I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.
Once the wound is healed, you need not worry any more. The thing is infection occurs only when the blood sugar levels are high and not under control. If they are under strict control, even in diabetics, the wound heals quiet normally as if in no diabetics.
See that sugar levels are under control. Maintain good hygiene of the wound ant get and antibiotic course discussing with treating doctor.
