Hello
You are taking anti tubercular treatment from last 2 months ( a successful treatment ) and increase in weight ( weight gain 9 kg within 2 months is an indication of effectiveness of treatment ).
When such patient visit with tuberculosis I also prescribe forecox , 2 tablets in the night ( rifampicin 225+ isoniazide150 mg + pyrazinamide 750 mg + ethambutol 400 mg ) but ONLY for 2 MONTHS .
After this I prescribe rifampicin 450 mg on empty stomach for next 7 months ( in few cases only for 4 months ) .
I also advise my patient levofloxacin 750 mg in the night for next 4-7 months with pantaloc-D .
I never advise my patient to take prednisolone ( omnacortril -5 mg ) .
Since in your case improvement is there so no need of any unnecessary medicine.
Dark coloration of skin is due to ethambutol present in forecox.
There are so many side effects of these drugs but when no need , why take.
Hope this will be helpful for you.
