Is Weight Gaining A Negative Side Effect Of Thyronorm 25mcg ?
Is weight gaining is a negative side effect of thyronorm 25mcg i am 28 years old.my t3 ,t4 is normal but Tsh is 7.3. doctor adviced me to take 25 mcg daily before breakfast.I have read that thyronorm has a side effect of weight gaining. It also causes body pain and joint pain .Is it true? is it safe as i want to become pregnant in near future?
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Raised TSH with normal T3 and T4 is indicative of latent hypothyroidism. Taking a supplement of 25mcg thyronorm will not only normalize TSH values but will also cause shedding off of excessive body weight. You need to continue the treatment for a successful pregnancy.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
