Itchy, Burning, Painful Sensation Around Heart While Running Downhill. How To Reduce Pain?
Hi when i go for my runs its for about 40 mins and a portion of this uphill for about 15-20 mins and then back down a steep gradient for about another 10 mins. When running down i get this sort of stitch feeling around my heart after about 5 mins of running down and i was wondering what this is and if there are anyways to stop or lessen the effect of the pain. Thanks
hello and welcome to HCM
Pain in chest has many causes namely:
1. Cardiac pain
2. Muscular pain
3. Reflux associated pain
4. Pathology of respiratory system
Consult your physician for detailed history, clinical examination and investigations.
A X-ray chest, ECG will rule out any pathology of cardiovascular system and respiratory system.
Trauma of any kind can also cause such a pain.
If there is previous history of gas and acidity especially after having fatty and spicy food gives a clue to reflux associated pain.
Discuss your problem with your physician for further management.
Thanks and take cvare
