Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a knee pain from long time and some days before i got a ligament twist on my knee and was unable to walk because of pain.doctor told physio therapy and some tablet to reduce swelling. but its 2 week now still the pain is there and the swelling also. What is the next step i need to take as physiotherapy is not that helpful. Please suggest. Just to inform i have not fall anywhere.the ligament twist happend when i was sitting on the floor and was getting up all sudden i got the pain.
After going through your available details it seems that you sustained injury due to twist which is possible now it is almost 2 weeks but pain is still persisting.
I would suggest you to visit an Orthopedic surgeon and get a M.R.I of knee done to exactly know the details of injury.
It may be some kind of ligament or cartilage damage, but apart from analgesic and physiotherapy it may need an Arthroscopic intervention to get complete relief. Hope this helps. Take care Good Luck. Dr. Akhilesh Dubey M.D.
