Large Lump On Cheekbones, Bruised Face, Headaches And Dizziness. What Is Wrong?
I fell on a sidewalk last week hitting left side of my face. I got a large lump on my cheekbone and all of that side of the face is bruised but looks like it is healing . The lump isn t going down and is still quite tender. I never had any issues with headache or dizziness so I didn t go to doctors but am wondering about whether it s an issue with the lump not going down, or it just takes a long time to heal.
The lump on your cheekbone could be bruising of the muscles and other soft tissues of the area around the cheekbone and typically would start resolving by the end of the first week of injury. However, it could also represent an underlying fracture of the cheekbone and therefore I would advice you to consult a doctor immediately who could cast an eye on you to see whether an X-ray would be advisable.
Hope this helps
