Low Breathing Rate, Indigestion, Nose Block. Suggested DNS Surgery. Solution?
I have always a low breating rate, and indigestion, along with nose block , the nose gets blocked the moment i get a burp, a burp which is NOT AT ALL satisfactory, and feels something is coming back in my nasal cavity . ENT says i got to do DNS surgery, i was tolk that i have reflux disease 8 years back. whenever i get burp i get a very had pricking sensation in my throat and i can feel my heart beat very fast.. kindly help

you are having acid peptic disease and reflux esophagitis..
before going for DNS surgery, try antacids like proton pump inhibitors and prokinetic drugs like itopride..
see your gastroenterologist if it doesnot improve, get endoscopy done and go according to the doctor..
DNS problem is a different set of problem, see your ENT surgeon lateron..
mean while eat less spicy food, small and frequent meals, stop alcohol/smoking..

THE SURGERY IS DONE TO PERFORM CORRECTION OF NASal passages so that the obstruction is cleared as there are many factors in this.IF YOUR MAIN FACOR IS ALLERGIC SURGERY MAY NOT HAV E MUCH EFFECT
if you have no major block controllinG the nasal secretions and keeping the size of all turbinates i nose by precautions can help you
as these are hypertrohied due to reular exposure to dust in indis
to prevent size increase of turbinates and exposure to allergens apply neomycin h ointment in nose bd for 6 months to prevent allergen from touching nasal mucosa
put sea water 2 drops at night in each nose to drain mucus and clear nose and throat
ADD LIQUID ANTACID TO PREVENT BURP
AS THE SECRETIONS OF SINUSES ARE DECREASED THE POST NASAL DRIP WILL DECREASE LEADING TO DECREASE IN REFLUX
avoid medicines which can increase mucus secretions in nose and sinuses
take antiallergic sos for blockage and irritation
