MRI Shows Mild Cerebral Atrophy, right Maxillary Mucosal Thickening, Poorly Aerated Right Mastoid Air Cells. Meaning?
Hi, Thank you for posting your query. The most likely causes of the findings of your brain MRI are ischemic lesions- due to lack of blood flow in the brain. The symptoms can be headache, weakness of arm or leg, etc. The commonest risk factors for the MRI abnormalities include high BP, diabetes and high cholesterol. You can discuss these issues with your neurologist. Best wishes, Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM (Neurology) Senior consultant Neurologist Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad
