MRI Shows Paracentral Protrusion Indenting Thecal Sac. Meaning?
Dear Dr., The MRI report cocludes- 1. L5-S1 disc- left paracentral protrusion indenting thecal sac and impinging the left traversing roots at lateral recess . 2. L4-5 disc- diffuse posterior bulge indenting thecal sac and touching the left traversing roots at lateral recess. 3. L3-4 disc - diffuse posterior bulge indenting thecal sac.

Your MRI report is suggestive of protrusions of intervertebral disc. There are 3 types of protrusions central, lateral and far lateral
Lateral protusion causes compression of origin of nerves at spinal level. You are having samne problem at multiple levels
It is the cause for your left lower limb symptoms like numbness or tingling.
