My Wife Has A Loop Around Neck And She Is Pregnant
According to ultrasound report my wife is 31 week 2 day pregnant and i came to know, there is Single live intrauterine pregnancy with (Cephalic presentation) single loop cord around neck. why is implicate? which type of problem may occur?

Repeat ultrasound at 38th week of pregnancy,if that report shows cord around neck,then the problem will occur at the time of delivery-if the cord is tight around neck,it will strangulate the fetus and the heart beat of fetus will drop causing asphyxia & even death of foetus.To save the fetus doctor will advise you C-SECTION.Cord around neck also causes prolonged labour due to non descent of the foetal head.

nuchal cord occurs when the umbilical cord becomes wrapped around the fetal neck 360 degrees. Nuchal cords are very common, with prevalence rates of 6% to 37%. Up to half of nuchal cords resolve before delivery.It is problematic if there are multiple cords,tight cords which can encircle fetal neck and cause asphyxia .
