Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello. I have been sick for a while now about 4 to 5 weeks. My symptoms include nausea and headaches that last all day. I lost about 15 pounds due to lack of appetite . I can also feel my heart beating very hard. I had a slight fever and threw up only a few times but that only lasted the first 2 weeks. The newest thing is my right forearm and hand was throbbing last night. The throbbing subsided but now my forearm hurts as if is injured or strained. If you have any ideas please let me know.
Fever, headache, nausea, loss of appetite and weight are suggestive of an infection - most likely a chronic infections. Muscle ache / myositis causing pain can be an associated symptom.
Though all your symptoms are clearly suggesting an infection, it's not easy to name the infection without a detailed evaluation. We will need to test your blood, urine, lungs and so on through laboratory test. Those will provide us clues to identify the infection.
In all means, it is advisable that you consult your healthcare provider. The aforementioned tests need to be done and treatment needs to be initiated based on your general condition and symptoms.
Hope I answered your query.
Wish you a speedy recovery
Regards
