I recently had a MRI on my knee that i have had 2 past surgery's on already ACL and meniscus. It came back saying... The proximal aspect of the ACL tendon has a somewhat undulating course, but the fibers are intact. The medial meniscus is diminutive and slightly irregular. Focal fissure is noted in the medial aspect of the lateral fermoral condyle, weightbearing surface. Subjacent marrow edema is noted. There is adjacent cartilage thinning and irregularity. There is trace knee joint effusion. A multilocular posterior medial Baker's cyst and smimembranosus bursal ganglion cyst is noted. Marginal spurring about the knee. There is a buckling of the proximal intercondylar aspect of the cadaveric tendon graft, without disruption. I am wondering what exactly this all means....Thank you I am 20 years old
ACL undulation means there is sprain - nothing to worry. irregualrities in medial mensicus means there is a tear. bone marrow edema is there means due to injury some residual edema is always present.
