hai mam I am 26 year old after my delivery i have inserted copper t by a gynecologist.nw my baby is turning two one year.2 months before i inserted ..and am having lengthy periods day which lasts for more than two weeks..and by the end of the cycle severe cramps also occur...v do coitus mostly once or twice in a week...baby is feeding also...after my insertion i have nt consullted the doctor as i have moved to abroad..vl b thankful for ur advice mam...waiting for ur reply respectfully susan
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The increase in the length of periods and mild cramps are usually associated with the intrauterine devices. This pain gradually subsides in 4-5 cycles. Till then you can take a mild pain killer and anti spasmodic to control the symptoms. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Hi, Initially after inserting copper-t for 2-3 months you might be having heavy or prolonged period. if this problem continued then consult gynaec and check up copper-t to rule out infection or changed its position. Ok and take care.
