Overweight. Trying To Lose Weight. Habit Of Eating Late At Night. Any Healthy Options?
Hi Dr Grief My name is serena and I have terrible trouble losing weight I am weighing at 207 and currently taking phentermine to try and keep my weight down I would like to go on a low carb diet to keep the weight down but I don't eat things like salad, I don't eat many greasy foods, and I have a bad habit of eating foods that are not healthy late at night what can I eat at night that would be healthy for me to snack on at night?
Hello, Studies indicate that late night eating results in obesity but how it happens is not very clear. Another important aspect is that late sleepers sleep less and this also contributes to weight gain. You must avoid eating Kate in night but if it is unavoidable, then you have to avoid eating junk foods like pastas, burgers, pizzas, noodles etc and sugary drinks. You can opt for fresh fruits or green vegetables and salad and even whole grain meal. Along with you must develop the habit of taking less calories in the daytime and do regular aerobic exercises for 45 minutes a day. If you are not able to do it of your own, then you may take the help of dietician and a physical trainer. Get also tested for your thyroid status,as hypothyroidism can also result in weight gain and difficulty in shedding weight. Thanks
