Pain From Left Side Of Neck To Head, Not Getting Better With Ibuprofen

I have been having pain from the left side of my neck into my head, like a headache...the pain is about 4 inches in length...I think I may have slept wrong and it s muscular, but it hasn t gotten better in the past couple of weeks, even with ibuprofen

I carefully read your question and would explain that your symptoms could be related to tension type headache. Cervical column degeneration could also lead to your symptomatology.

A wrong position during sleeping could exacerbate the situation.

Nevertheless, the fact that this pain does not improve by ibuprofen intake, is concerning.

I would recommend consulting with your GP for a careful physical exam and a cervical column X ray study to exclude possible chronic degeneration of the cervical column.
