Pain In The Adam's Apple. Pain Worsens While Turning The Neck. Have Swelling. Concerned
Hi.
I am a 19 year old male. About 2 or 3 days ago I started to experience some pain in the region where my adam's apple is. It hurts occasionally when turning my neck in certain angles and it hurts when touched. It seems to have swollen a bit and the pain has become more constant now. I am concerned about this and I am wondering what it is and how I could treat it.
Hello and thank you for your question. I recommend going to the doctor and having him examine you and get some blood work. You have an organ right below your Adam's apple called the thyroid gland. Inflammation or enlargement of this gland could indicate a systemic disease such as hyper or hypothyroidism.
