Painful Varicose Veins In Legs, Redness, Sore Lump Developed Inside Thigh. Treatment?
Hi - my husband has varicose veins in his leg, and has had for many years, He is 54. Just recently, his veins have got very painful and red in two places - he saw his doctor who said not to worry as they were only surface veins. Now he has developed another lump high in the inside of his thigh which is sore. What do you think he should do?
Hi thanks for your question.
Your husband is having varicose vein along with lump on thigh. These veins have become painful.Though veins are superfascial ,they need ligation,(operation for varicose vein) as these veins can rupture and can lead to fatal bleeding. The lump on thigh could be a dilated inflammed vein.I would suugest you consult a general surgeon and get varicose veins of your husband ligated in order to prevent sudden rupture of veins with fatal bleeding.
Hope this answers your question.
