Hi,
Welcome to HCM. I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Do you have a swelling in neck?

Thyroid can cause this problem in two condition - 1. an enlarged thyroid pressing on carotid arteries 2. Over functioning thyroid causing increased carotid pulsations.

Please check with your doctor to find out the cause.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help
With warm regards,
