Rapid Heart Rate And Shortness Of Breath.

I have rapid heart rate, shortness of breath, dizziness, headache, and hair loss... About 2 years ago I started feeling weird, so I grabbed my stethoscope (im a cna) and started listening and my heart was doing a triple beat every now and then, I went to the er after about 3 weeks of this and they did a halter monitor... results of that were rapid heart rate and 6-7 pvc's an hour... I went for an EKG.. a couple extra PVC's but everything looked find... then went for an echocardiogram and everything looked fine.. but yet I continue to have random episodes where I can be sitting still not doing anything and my heart will start racing to 150+ bpm.. I am a 22 yr old female.. I had an episode a couple months ago where I was just walking through my friends office and all of a sudden I felt weird, and my vision started going black, and then I felt one big beat and then my heart started racing so fast I couldnt count it, it felt like there was a vibrator under my chest bone, my friend could even feel it. they did blood work to check my thyroid and everything looked normal. when I got to the ER after the vibrating episode my heart rate had gone back to 126 and they put me in a wheel chair and immediately took me back... the DR said theres no way it could be anything serious and sent me home that has happened once more since then... but normally the rapid heart rate is every so often.... for the past 3 weeks its been every day and when it happens its never slower than 130bpm... I have noticed my hair is now falling out by the handful I am dizzy alot, and its noticable when I feel this way, my mom even says I look like hell. but it will happen when I am just sitting there not doing anything, no stress or anxiety I was in the car yesterday and it was 136, I walked into walmart and it was 148 by the time I got in the door, I sat down for about 20 mins then walked over and took my blood pressure and it was 127/78 and 110 bpm, which is a higher than normal systolic for me...I eat a balanced diet and I am on no medications, I do however had the merina IUD it used to just be annoying but its happening everyday... and its the big beats which I was told are the PVC's and the rapid rate, and then the shortness of breath and dizziness. I got it about 3.5 years ago... it fell out almost 2 years ago, and then I got pregnant and miscarried and had it put back in so its been in this time for about a year and a half I decided to start going to the gym and after 4 mins of warm up on the bike my heart rate was 206... so I decided I didn't need to do the gym till I figured out what this was I have also noticed lately, and it might just be a coincidence, but it seems to happen when I eat, not everytime I eat, but every couple meals or so and its several times a day that it happens Just wondering if you could give me some insight into possibilities, or what to suggest to a DR because everytime I end up in the ER for this I am told its nothing. and they wont even test for anything

Look into P.O.T.S. it sounds like you have the same problem that I have suffered w/ for years. I am 25 and was diagnosed w/ P.O.T.S at 19. I was also recently diagnosed w/ Sjogrens Syndrome but it is such a new diagnosis that I am not sure if it is linked to my P.O.T.S. at all. BTW I also have Merina but all of my problems started long before I had my IUD put in. I hope this helps and that you eventually find a Dr who can help you. I know it is frustrating when they just dismiss you like it isn't a big deal.

the possibilities are that you are suffering from repeated attacks of supraventricular tachycardia and you may require to undergoe electrophysiological study for diagnosis.
other possibility is that you may have derranged thyroid profile and need to get it repeated.
you also get yourself checked to rule out autoimmune disorders like SLE, considering you have hair loss, repeated miscarriages.
