Rashes And Itchy Skin After Taking Duphaston. Side Effects?
my wife has been taking duphaston for last two months after her periods due to adenomoissis but has developed rashes and itchy skin. I would like to knoiw if it could be a side effect of this medicine or some other allergy. she was advised Cetrizine which she had for 7 days during which time her itchiness had stopped but now it has started again eversince she stopped cetrizine, kindly advise.
hi, Duphaston is prescribed for many conditions that may result from progesterone deficiency. It is used for hormone replacement therapy and to treat irregular or painful menstruation, endometriosis, infertility and to help prevent miscarriage. Rarely, some women have developed anemia or abnormal liver function while taking Duphaston. Women also can experience an allergic reaction, usually in the form of a rash, to the medication
. u need to consult your physician. get liver function tests done to see for abnormality. if there is any problem specific drugs will have to be used. don wory ....it will get cured when the drug gets eliminatec out of the body. till then take symptomatic treatment. byeee
