Very swollen stomach thts making lots of noises lately I have had a period this month it came a week early and was jst pinkish discharge for four days could I be pregnant I do have iud in but never had it checkd since I have had it been in for 9years now
Hi, If you have had the IUD for so long, it is high time that you got it checked, removed and replaced. Pregnancy is indeed possible with an intrauterine device that has expired and in such an instance, can also lead to complications. Please see a gynecologist immediately, get properly evaluated and get a trans-vaginal sonogram or an MRI to locate the device and get further management. To test for pregnancy, you may go for the estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres as it is highly specific and sensitive. Hope this helps.
