Red Dot On Foot, Bled After Piercing. Any Ideas?
I got this weird red dot on my foot for a few weeks now, it,looked like a little bit of blood down a few layers. I touched it just now and pierced it open and quite a bitnof blood flowed out quick. It stopped after I put pressure on it for a few minutes. The blood flow was probably due to the vein it was on top of. Any ideas?

Hi there.
It was/is probably a condition called pyogenic granuloma.
This is a misnomer as it does not arise due to any bacteria but from some small local trauma that precipitates the inflammatory process.
It is probably best to get it assessed by your nearest dermatologist.
The treatment would ideally involve using a hyfrecator or laser & cauterising the area to arrest the bleeding & destroy the underlying tissue.
Having said all this, it is always best to be assessed by a dermatologist on the spot & then take a deciscion. Online, we can at best provide pointers in the direction you should be going. Cheers & Good Luck!
