Red Mark Between Neck, Shoulder. Applied Benadryl Cream For Allergic Reaction, No Relief. What Is It?

My son was at a pumpkin patch 4 days ago. When we got home we noticed a raised red mark between his neck and shoulder. I put a baking soda water mix on it for two days but the mark was still there. Thinking an allergic reaction I got Benadryl cream, but now the bite looks bigger and seems to have pus under it. He is only now complaining of pain. I am trying to figure out what this is and if I should be worried and take him in?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
It may not be infective initially but it has been tampered and might got the infection, now you better try some local antibiotic povidone ointment, would be best keep the rear clean do not apply any steroid, try povidone for week at least will give nice result and if does not go away then he need to be examined by the skin specialist, take care of your son bye
