Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi- I was hit with a hockey puck right on the right ankle right on the ball of it. It was swollen tuesday night but the swelling went down. The only thing is now it still hurts when I sit or walk and it is constant stinging. Also when I am on it for too long I get a shooting pain right to my knee . I have been elevating and icing it. Do you think I should just keep doing that or see a doctor?
Hi there. Thank you for posting your question with Healthcaremagic. I will do my best to help you.
I think you should be OK. Listen to your body and do nothing that makes your ankle feel worse. It is telling you to rest more and don't push it.
If you go to a doctor they may want to x-ray it and honestly I do not see the point of that. Keep going as your are and use common sense. You will be fine.
I hope that I have answered your questions fully and been of some help. If you have anymore questions please contact me again anytime.
