Runny Nose And Sore Throat. Have Slight Constipation, Why? Why Is Tool Stringy?

HI i am just getting over having the runny nose and sore throat . The last few days I have gone to the bathroom it has been slight constipation , last night had sharp shooting pains in my stomach for about 30 minutes then. today i went to the bathroom and my stool was elastic,stringy like with smaller junks threw out. help please

Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
Do you have fever along with cough also?
Are you taking any cough suppressants also?
You are most likely suffering from Acute flu fever (common cold) and you are suffering constipation.
Constipation may be due to cough suppressant (codeine) or due to generalized affection of system/ antibiotic induced clearance of gut microflora.
You should consult with physician and should continue anti-histaminics, anti-inflammatory, and antibiotics and decongestants.
You should also take plenty of water along with probiotics.
This is a normal phenomenon and patient may regain normal stool consistency within few days.
