Runny Nose , Post Nasal Drip Soreness In The Top/back Of Throat, Body Ache. What Are Treatment Options?

Runny nose , post nasal drip soreness in the top/back of the throat , no fever, occasional chills, body aches and swollen lymph nodes on one side of the body only. Quick onset, started having a runny nose that was gradual over a 16 hour period, post nasal drip soreness in the throat followed, within 36 hours all other symptoms have occured. Just a cold?

Hello,
Thanks for coming to HCM. You might have common cold or allergic rhinitis. You can take over-the-counter preparations of cetrizine OR loratidine along with a combination preparation of pseudoephedrine+phenylehrine+paracetamol; menthol steam inhalation can help further. But if you get fever, headache or problem in swallowing, please contact your local doctor to check if you are developing sinus infection or pharyngitis and need antibiotics.
