Severe Bleeding After Mirena Insertion. Cramping And Pinkish Discharge. Is It Normal?

I have had my Mirena going on 6 months now. For the first 3 months I had nonstop heavy bleeding. It then stopped and I had 2 heavy periods. I haven't had a period at all this month. I am having pretty bad cramping with a pink to tan looking discharge and can no longer find my threads. Should I contact my OB/GYN? Is this "normal"?

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
You should consult your gynaecologist immediately because your thread is not detected, to rule out that minera is misplaced or not and ultrasonography to rule out pregnancy also.
Good luck.
Take care.
