Severe Pain In Cecum. Diagnosed With Elongated Appndix Tip In Subhepatic Space. What Does It Mean?
This Mohd samee and m suffering with moderate to severe pain in cecum since 2007 my doctors said it is IBS all tests were normal and last year i ws diagnosed with mulitple ceacal diverticula in colonoscopy Dr advise me to take more fiber and muscle relaxant still unable to ease with pain last month i went for CT enteroclysis diagnosed with ELONGATED APPENDIX Tip in Subhepatic space, Multiple small amount of Right iliac fossa nodes 9mm Multiple diverticula in lateral and medial wall of cecum. Need advise ?
If the appendix tip is elongated but not inflamed, there is no problem with the appendix. Your pain is due to the diverticulitis. Diverticula are out pouching of the large intestine and formation of finger like projections. When food enters the diverticula and gets infected, there is diverticulosis which causes pain. Small lymph node in right iliac fossa measuring 9 mm in size is not to be worried about. Please continue taking high fiber foods so that the chances of developing diverticulosis is less.
Hope this helps
