Shard Of Glass Stuck In The Foot. Glass Removed And The Pus Is Formed. Consult Doctor?
I had a small shard of glass stuck in the top of my foot (the ball area of the foot) After three months the glass was pushed to the surface of the skin and I was able to remove the glass. Two weeks later after wearing heels out one night and putting extra pressure on the ball of the foot. It was painful as if the glass reappeared again. I took a shower and cleaned the wound, and when I got out of the shower I brushed my nail against the skin and pus was relived. Is this normal?
Hi, It seems that due to remained glass in your foot there might be having infection in foot. Now after glass coming out pus is drained. Go for x-ray foot to rule out any piece of glass still remained inside or having infection spread in the bone. Go for dressing. If require go for one antibiotic medicine course after consulting your doctor. Ok and take care.
