Sharp Pain Around Left Breast. Sudden Pain, Alarming. What Could It Be?
Hello doctor. I am a 30 year old female, and for a while now I have been experiencing sharp pains on my left side- generally focused around my left breast- below,above,etc. The pain seems to come from nowhere and is quite alarming. Usually it happens when I am laying down. I can get the pain to ease up or go away completely by changing positions. However, this evening all I did was stand up from the couch and I felt the pain. It has persisted ever since-going on an hour now. I don t seem to feel the pain if I stay still, but if I bend over, breathe deep, or move too much, I feel the sharp pain again. While it doesn t sound like a heart attack , it still has me worried. Any thoughts?

There may be various reasons for pain around left breast.
You need proper examination and investigations.
Investigations include routine hemogram,RBS,LFT,RFT,Lipid profile,Ultrasound of abdomen,Upper GI endoscopy,ECG in all leads,Chest X -ray (PA).Further investigations may be needed after evaluation.
Causes of pain may be acidity,musculoskeletal,respiratory,cardiac etc.
Treatment can be given after clinical examination and investigation reports.
Examination of breast should also be done.
