Sharp Stomach Pains, Bloating, Nausea, Vomitting, Food Feels Struck In Oesophagus, Shortness Of Breath, Chest Pains, Anxiety, Dry Cough. Hiatal Hernia?

I am having trouble with BM, but still go , that s not usual for me. The past few days I have had sharp stomach pains off and on. I am bloated, nauseated, throwing up a little, my food feels stuck in my esophagus , shortness of breath, chest pains, anxious, feel like I am choking, dry cough , feel like something is stuck in throat, burping, or cant burp, I have barely eaten in a week. I have been on nexium for over a year and if I miss it taking it, within 6 hours I am throwing up. My research says this is a hiatal hernia . Wondering if I should make dr. Appt in am for gastro dr. or go to er. I am miserable.

Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.

After reading your post, it seems that you might be correct in considering your symptoms to be due to hiatus hernia.

You should continue taking Nexium. You can add Domperidone 10 mg along with it for better control of your symptoms.

You can have Endoscopy done to confirm the diagnosis.

Clinical evaluation with a Gastroenterologist will be more helpful in your case.

I hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks.
