Should I Be Concerned For Pea Sized Lump Under Skin Of Upper Left Arm After Having Arthroscopic Surgery?

Well, on December 10th I had arthroscopic surgery of the rotator cuff, left shoulder. Sutchers and 2 screws needed to adhere the tendons back to the bone. Also some shaving of a bone spur. Yesterday, the 31 st, I noticed a pea sized lump under the skin on the inside of the upper left arm. Could this be a blood cold to be concerned about?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, this may not be blood clot but may be a swelling lymph node, if it does not causing any pain, then leave it like this only this will go away, as your condition of surgery gets alright, but if it is painful then you can try Ibuprofen 400 mg twice day this will give good result take care and no need to worry about this have nice time.

Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Kunal Bhalla's  Response
Hi there.

This lump seems to either an induration of skin and soft tissue under the skin suture site or a protrusion of the soft tissue under the skin due to inadequate tight suturing under skin.

You need not worry if it does not increase in size or get painful. ...although I would still advice you to consult your operating surgeon once..

Good luck.
