Should I Get My Iud Removed As There Is Blood In Discharge Everyday ?

hi ive had the iud cil put in over 4 months ago ive had over 6 peiods but i know that can happen as its got to settle but for past 2 weeks ive been spotting blood in my discharge every day and its not just once its a few time a day im getting really worried now what is causing this and should i get the iud removed

Hi,these are side effects of the iud.Break through bleeding is seen in some people and usually settles down in a few months and eventually your flow might also decrease.You could wait and watch for a few more weeks and if the bleeding continues,you may want the iud removed and try alternative methods of birth control.
