Should I Use Barrier Contraception While Taking Birth Control Pills?
Hi,I am currently taking primolut N due to 4 weeks of heavy menstrual bleeding. After one day the bleeding has stopped. I had a baby 8 months ago and my Doctor prescribed me Noriday 28 as a form of birth control as I was breast feeding. Both contain the active ingrediant norethisterone. However the primolut N literature states it can not be used as birth control however it is exactly the same as my birth control only in a much higher dose (15mg per day vs, 350mcg). My question is do I still have to use barrier contraception even though primolut N is the same as my contraceptive pill?
