Should I Be Worried Of Swelling And Bleeding From Nose Due To Injury?

my son broke his nose about 2 months ago during basketball he thinks he re-broke it during basketball again! I told him it doesn't look like it is...but he is determined that he has. There was no bleeding this time just some swelling. He had to have his nose cauterized after his first surgery as the bleeding wouldn't stop. Should I be worried of blood clots now?
