Should My Wife Take Insulin After Glucose Tolerance Test?

My wife is 28 week pregnant, her glucose tolerance test shows 250mg/ dl after taking 75mg of oral glucose and fasting blood glucose is 82 mg/dl. My question is do we have to go for insulin or cN we try with diet and is it dangerous to delay insulin therapy? Thank you

Dear sir I can understand your concern.
it's not mandatory to take insulin.you can try with diet exercise and metformin.
regularly monitor sugars daily three times before meals and see how they are.
if your sugars not coming undercontrol,you can start with safe insulin like levimer once daily
dose as prescribed by your doc.
