Hi Mrs.Sarah,
Thank you for choosing healthcaremagic.com and helping us to clarify your doubts.
Well, you say that your child has runny nose and cough since past 3 weeks. I would like to know if it is constant throughout or has it been increasing or decreasing. Fever of 102 def F is sinister and suggests some kind of an infection, probably a secondary bacterial throat infection or sinusitis. In any case, I would suggest you to see your pediatrician who would also need to check for any lung involvement. Your son might also need to undergo some Xrays. He might need some anti-histaminics and even antibiotics in view of the prolonged period of illness.
I hope I have successful in clarifying your doubts. I will be available for any further queries if you have. Take care and stay healthy.
