Small Lumps On Right Tonsil Which Is Left Behind After Tonsillectomy. On Augmentin. Immediate Visit To ENT Specialist Needed?
Hi I have had a tonsillectomy at the start of this year, last week I got tonsillitis again, at first my GP and the ENT specialist didn't believe me over the phone. Long story short I saw the ENT and it is definitely tonsillitis as some tonsil tissue was left behind because of complications during the tonsillectomy. I am currently taking a 10 day course of Augmentin but now i have 2 small lumps just above what's left of the right tonsil that I have never had or seen before. Should I contact my ENT specialist straight away?

You have small bit of tonsil after tonssilectomy and on augmentin for tonsilitis . These all finding suggestive of residual tonsils, for this manage either with medically or surgically if recurrence is common.
