Sore Throat, Body Pain, Fever. Taken Advil, Mild Fever, Body Pain Continues. Cure For Symptoms?

I came home from work last night feeling run down, had a sore throat and y body was aching all over. I took my temperature orally and it was 101.0F so I took some Advil . This morning my temperature was at 99.9 at 9:45 so I took another dose of Advil. Now at 11:45, my temperature is at 100.3 and my body is aching and I still have a constant headache . Any advice or ideas?

Thanks for query
your symptoms are suggestive of some allergic event. You need to have fexofenadin tablets 5 mg once daily for 7-10 days. Drink plenty of water. Take some amoxycillin tablets 500 mg thrice daily for 7 days. Consult your ENT specialist to examine your sore throat. Go for specific serum IgE assay and skin prick test to detect the allergen and subsequent avoidance or specific immunotherapy will protect you from further exposure.

Hello Emily...

Thanks for your query.You are most probably having a viral infection.Take paracetamol 500 mg thrice daily for 3 days and thereafter when needed.Take Vit C 500 mg tablets twice daily for a week.Have plenty of fluids. If you develop watery nose do take levocetrizine 5 mg tablet twice daily for 5 days. Do warm saline gurgling four times daily for 5 days ... it will relieve you .
Measure your temperature regularly and inform me how you stay.
If still you continue to have fever and sorethroat its better to get a throat swab culture done and start CoAmoxiclav 625mg tablets thrice daily for 5 days.Also consult your ENT specialist.
