Soreness Under Right Jaw, Felt Like A Bump. Is It Contagious?

have been visiting my dad daily at the hosp in the cancer ward, he is 82 and in the last stages from a brain tumor . I would like to go today but discovered a soreness under the right side of my jaw. felt around, found a bump sore to touch. i think its a gland . now I wonder if I have something that might be contagious. should I avoid going for visits at the hospital at this time?

hi,
that bump is nothing but lymph node in my view.Check whether you have any infection in your tooth or ear it is a local lymphnode enlargement due to infection around that area so check your mouth too for any ulcers it also may case the lymphode in tht area to enlarge. Its nothing that much infectious to avoid hospital visits but some times it is safe for you to avoid because may be any throat infection can also result to that lymph node enlargement so that may be one of the reason because of your hospital visit you may get that.thank you.
