Sudden Pain In Neck Progressed To Back, Hip, Groin, Tired, No Appetite, Difficulty Walking. Test Shows High Calcium, Anemia. Suggest

my nephew is 27 , suddenly in the last month started with neck pain , then its included back , hip & groin pain , he is in agony , his x ray has come back normal , blood test found calcium too high , plus anemia , plus needs to take folic acid , as a boy he had perthes disease , hes got a doctors appointment tomorrow , hes having difficulty walking , he sits in the bath for hours as that helps , what is wrong with him ? he feels tired and has lost his appetite , please help

* Dehydration -transient hypercalcemia is seen
* Drug induced -thiazide diuretics, lithium etc
* Diseases like tuberculosis, sarcoidosis etc
* Cancers like lung cancers & blood cancers like multiple myeloma
The triad of Hypercalcemia, Anemia, bone & joint pains favour the possibility of Multiple myeloma which can only be confirmed by undergoing specific investigations.
So, he needs a thorough evaluation to pinpoint the diagnosis.
