Suffering From Acne, Face Looks Like Having Chickenpox. What Could Be This?

For the past 2 years at this time of the year, I get severe acne for about a month. The breakout are in odd places too like the corner of my eye, directly under my eye and also on my upper eye an upper nose along with the forehead and not the normal places on my cheek. I am 47 years old and rarely breakout except the occasional hormonal zits. My face looks like I have the chicken pox . What can be causing this?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
From the description provided, I could think of few possibilities
1) acne agminata which usually involves the area mentioned by you
2) papular rosacea- along with pimple like lesions, redness/ flushing of face and thread vessels(telangiectasia) is seen
3) acne
4) folliculitis

I would advise that you meet a dermatologist so that the lesions can be examined and treated accordingly.
Hope that helped.
Take care
