Hi, I'm 26 years old and my wedding date was set on 27th of december. Normally, my menses starts on 21 in each month and will have for 5-6 days. So I would like to prepone my menses date for 2,3 days as it is easy than postpone it to 1 week. what kind of medicines are there to prepone? when should I need to take the medicine? Thank you
Hello Thanks for your query. Normally, progesterone tablets for eg. Meprate have to be started well in advance. If you expect your periods on the 21st, you have to start taking them from the 15th onwards. You can continue them , and then whenever you stop, remember that you will have withdrawal bleeding within 3 -4 days generally, might take upto a week. SO you can time the tablets accordingly. It is better to take them on prescription from a gynecologist, so exact dose can be determined. All the best.
