Suggest Methods For Weight Loss In Females With Low Thyroid

I have been trying to loose weight now for over 6mths. I have sent by blood work to a DR.Harris who shared that my thyroid hormone is low. and I am also going through menopause. Dr harris is out of state and can not write a prep. for me .He recomended a thyroid hormone for me but I cant find a Dr. to help me . I live in eaton colo. If you know of one. or can help me . i would greatly appreat it. I do have many other systems this just the big one. that I need to get under control.Thank you Bobbie

Going through your query I find you have hypothyroidism (low plasma thyroid level) . Because of the same reason you must have gained weight.
Before starting thyroid supplements you need to visit a physician to know how much dosage will be required in your case. So don't start to take of your own.

Second thing hypothyroidism causes decrease in BMR which leads to weight gain, therefore, you need to increase your BMR. You can raise it by
... Take small amount of food(calories) in your meals but have multiple meals I.e, instead of taking too many calories at one time break it into many.
.... Regular exercise, it will help too.
