Suggest Remedies For Severe Itching In Forearms In Spite Of Being On Medication

Hi. I am 58 yo w female. In generally really good health. Have, at least in the last 3 years, probably longer, 63", 145 lbs. had an elevated eosinophil ct (9.2%, last one) with a total WBC of 5.23. I take Lipitor 20 mg and prozac 20 mg every day. For the last 3 months, my forearms (on the tops) and been itching TERRIBLY. To the point I have scratched sores on them! My dr. prescribed Fluticasone propionate cream, which doesn't seem to be helping. I have some allergies, hayfever, but not very bad. Have 2 dogs, 2 cats. But have had them for years.

Hi,
Looking to the history your problem might be due to Eosinophilia which can give rise to itching on body.
To find out the cause of having eosinophilia go for stool test for worm imfestation.
Afterwards go for treatment accordingly.
A course of Di-ethyl- carbamizine will be helpful to treat Eosinophilia after consulting your doctor.
Meanwhile take Benadryl or Levo-cetrizine for itching.
Ok and take care.
I find this answer helpful
