hi doctor, i am 48 years old, a diabetic and for several weeks now my right ankle is really sore and radiates to the middle of my foot. I have noticed a dark area on the top of my foot as well approx 3" across and 3" down. It hurts the most in my ankle where it connects to my foot. I am overweight and lately been wearing flip flops a lot and several years ago i severely sprained that ankle. I am also much overweight. Seems if i rub mineral ice on it it helps relieve the pain
