Suggest Remedy For Diabetics Problem In 1 Year Old
HI, my 1 year old brother was diagnosed with type I diabetes. he was release from the hospital today after having ketoacidosis, he was prescribed two doses of insulin a day every 12 hours. he was last given insulin at 6am and had good meals. when he was sent home from the hospital at about 1pm his glucose level was fine, he was due for his second dose at 6pm and we measured his glucose level at this time and it read 41, we then gave him a heinz apple jam and gave him insulin at 7pm. we read his glucose level at 10pm and it was 260. it is very high, he is not thisrty or sweating or crying, but what should we do?
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern and looking to the history given here I could say that this is type I diabetes and there could be lot of fluctuation being noted in blood glucose level and this would be least concern with the clinical symptoms and does not manifest as such, just keep continue the prescribed dose of insulin, take care and have a nice day.
