Suggest Remedy For Severe Migraine With Inability To Speak And Muted Hearing
I suffer from status migrainosus that normally rank around a pain level of 8. There are times when it gets extremely worse. During that time I have to take an injection of Toradol to help. I had been having several signs of the extreme migraine every day and taken an injection before it happened. I had an episode a few days ago and couldn t get the injection till it was already at a point that I was screaming and crying because it hurt so bad. My problem is that this time I can t speak and was unable to hear clearly. My hearing was somewhat muted. It has now returned to normal but I still can t speak. I can form the words clearly but the most I can get is maybe a minor whisper. And even that is almost impossible. This is now the 4th day.
First of all, you should do Ct scan to exclude a brain lesion. You should know that migraine occurs due to rapid changes in the diameter of the brain vessels, these changes cause a disturbance in the blood follows to the different brain part, resulting in a temporary hearing loss.
Second, you should take some medications to prevent the attack such as beta-blockers (propranolol) or tricyclic antidepressants. So, you should abort the attack by NSAIDs such as Ibuprofen or if you do not have hypertension or a cardiac disease you could use oral Sumatriptan. Then you should take the prophylaxis drug to prevent the attack for ever. Finally, you should ask a specialist in ear, nose and throat to examine your ear.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
